Plan Your VisitAt Bethel Christian Church, our desire is simple: to know Jesus, grow in His Word, and help others follow Him.
Founded in 1891, Bethel is a welcoming, multigenerational, non-denominational church committed to biblical preaching, authentic community, intentional discipleship, and living on mission both locally and globally. Above all, we desire to be a gospel-centered church where the hope of Jesus Christ shapes everything we do.
Whether you have followed Christ for years, are exploring faith for the first time, or are looking for a church to call home, our prayer is that you would find a church family where you are welcomed warmly, taught faithfully, and continually pointed to the grace and truth of the gospel.
We believe the church is more than a building or a weekly event. It is a people gathered for worship, scattered for mission, and united together through Christ.

At Bethel Christian Church, we believe that the Bible is God’s Word and the foundation for our faith and practice. While no statement can fully summarize all that we believe, the following provides a brief overview of the core truths that shape our church, our teaching, and our mission.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God. Written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Scripture reveals God’s character, mankind’s need for salvation, and God’s plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. Because it is God’s Word, the Bible serves as our final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living.
We believe that there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, all-powerful, all-knowing, and sovereign over all creation. He is worthy of all worship, glory, and obedience.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who came to earth fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and physically rose again from the dead. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus provided the only way for sinners to be reconciled to God. He now reigns as Lord and will one day return again.
We believe that every person is a sinner in need of God’s grace. Salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ and cannot be earned through good works or religious effort. By His grace, God forgives sin, gives new life, and adopts believers into His family. Salvation is a gift received through repentance and faith in Christ alone.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering them to grow in Christ, understand God’s Word, and live a life that honors the Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, comforts believers, produces spiritual fruit, and equips the church for ministry and mission.
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have trusted in Jesus for salvation. The local church exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and encourage believers in their walk with Christ. We believe the church is called to live in unity, serve one another in love, and carry the hope of the gospel to the world.
We believe that baptism and communion are two ordinances given by Jesus Christ to the church. Baptism is a public declaration of a believer’s faith in Christ and symbolizes the new life found in Him. Communion is a time of remembrance and worship in which believers reflect on the body and blood of Jesus Christ given for our salvation.
We believe that every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity, value, and purpose. Though humanity was created for relationship with God, all people have sinned and are separated from Him apart from Christ. Because of this, every person is in need of the grace and salvation found only through Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return again and that every person will spend eternity either in the presence of God or separated from Him. Those who have trusted in Christ will experience eternal life with Him, while those who reject Him will face eternal judgment. We live with hope, knowing that God will one day make all things new.
We believe that the gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ came to save sinners. Though we have all sinned against God and deserve judgment, Jesus lived the perfect life we could not live, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead. Salvation is available to all who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through Him, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life.
We believe that God created marriage as a covenant relationship between one man and one woman and that the family is a foundational part of God’s design for human flourishing. We are committed to speaking the truth in love while pointing all people to the grace and transformation found in Jesus Christ.
We believe that every follower of Jesus is called to participate in God’s mission of making disciples of all nations. As a church, we desire to share the hope of the gospel both locally and globally through prayer, evangelism, discipleship, service, and sending.
While this statement summarizes many of our core beliefs, our greatest desire is not simply to know about God, but to know Him personally through Jesus Christ.

We gather for worship every Sunday at 11:00 AM. Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’ve been attending for years, you are welcome here.
Our Sunday service typically lasts around 60 minutes and includes worship through singing, prayer, biblical preaching, and fellowship together as a church family. Occasionally, services may run a little longer.
Our worship is blended, combining both hymns and contemporary songs as we seek to honor the biblical call to sing “psalms and hymns and spiritual songs” together (Colossians 3:16). Our desire is to create a worship environment where every generation can gather together in worship around the gospel.
Each service includes congregational singing and choir-led worship as we joyfully praise the Lord together as a church family.
Our preaching is biblical, gospel-centered, and practical. Each week, we seek to faithfully teach God’s Word in a way that is clear, applicable, and centered on Jesus Christ.
Most often, we preach verse-by-verse through books of the Bible while helping people understand not only what Scripture says, but how it shapes everyday life. Whether you are new to church or have followed Christ for years, our desire is that every sermon would point people to the hope and truth of the gospel.
You’ll find a wide variety of attire at Bethel Christian Church. Some people dress more casually in jeans or shorts, while others prefer business casual attire. Our goal is not to focus on what people wear, but to create a welcoming environment where people can gather to worship Jesus together.
Come dressed comfortably — we’re simply glad you’re here.
Parking is available all around the church building, so you should have no trouble finding a spot when you arrive. If you need any assistance, our greeters would be happy to help point you in the right direction.
When you walk through the doors, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment. You’ll likely be greeted by members of our church family who would be happy to help you find the sanctuary, answer any questions you may have, or help you get connected.
Feel free to grab a seat, meet a few people, and make yourself at home as we prepare to worship together.
Yes! One of the greatest joys of our church is investing in the next generation.
During our worship service, we offer Kids on a Mission, a children’s ministry designed to help kids grow in their understanding of God’s Word and His mission in the world. Throughout the morning, kids spend time in worship, prayer, biblical teaching, discussion, Scripture memory, games, snacks, and learning about missions in an engaging and age-appropriate environment.
We also offer a children’s Sunday school class and regularly emphasize discipleship for every generation within our church family.
On 5th Sundays, we hold special Family Sundays where children join the main service for a worship experience intentionally designed to help families worship and learn together.
Not at all. If you're a guest, the offering is not for you. Come and receive.
No. Come as many Sundays as you need. There's no pressure and no commitment required to walk through the door.
Right now, the best way to get involved is to connect with Pastor Caleb. Send an email to cshensley5@gmail.com or say hello this Sunday. He would love to meet you and help you take your next step with us.
No. We won't ask you to stand up, introduce yourself, or do anything uncomfortable. Just come and see.
